Against the stone walls of the hollow rests a burnt out maple tree. In this tree the medicine cats of Dawnclan make their nest. Shelves have been scraped out of the trunk to hold the herbs collected at the Herbal Pool. This den is closest to the Herbal Pool and a small stream from the pool trickles into the den, forming a small pool in the back of the den

The largest of the burnt out trees, a beech, that rests against the stone walls of the hollow is used as the Warrior's den.

A smaller burnt out sugar maple next to the warrior's den serves as the apprentice's den.

There is a fallen sugar maple that blocks off a portion of the hollow. Behind this tree is the nursery. The cats of Dawnclan wove a ceiling of brambles and thorn bush over the fallen tree and attached it to the stone walls behind it. There is a small space between the top of the tree and the walls that serves as an entrance
